Enrolment Terms & Conditions

MAKE-UP POLICY:

Make-up lessons are subject to availability and are not guaranteed. We allow two make-up lessons per term per child, as long as we are notified at least 2 hours prior to lesson time, via email: [email protected]. All make-up lessons must be arranged before the end of term and may not be carried over to the next term. We do not give credits/refunds for any missed lessons. We do not guarantee make up lessons will be available on the day/time you request. If you do not attend or cancel a booked makeup lesson you will not be entitled to another one. 

WET-WEATHER: 

Ithaca Pool is outdoors and heated to 29 degrees. Lessons are still on in the rain. However, lessons will be cancelled if there is lightning, as we have to close the pool as well. Storms often arrive and pass quickly so our instructors will be there to teach the lesson. If we cancel the lessons due to storm, we will endeavour to let families know immediately and will allow an additional make-up lesson – see make-up policy above.

REFUNDS:

Fees are not refundable. However we understand that sometimes unavoidable circumstances occur. Each situation will be considered on a case by case basis in accordance with our policies. Refund requests must be provided in writing ([email protected])

HEALTH & MEDICAL DECLARATION:

I. Do not attend swimming lessons if you are sick with any cold/ flu-like symptoms, or have had vomiting or diarrhoea in the last 14 days.

II. All infants under the age of 3 years are required to wear a Swim Nappy when in our pools.

III. Participants/ Parents/ Guardians declare that they (or their children) are physically fit to participate in swimming lessons, and will advise via email of any known medical conditions that instructors should be aware of prior to participation in the lessons: [email protected]

IV. Participants/ Parents/ Guardians authorise the staff of the centre to administer first aid and/ organise medical/ hospital treatment as they see necessary, at Participant/ Parent/ Guardian’s expense

V. Participants/ Parents/ Guardians understand that swimming is not without some risks and known dangers, and they accept these risks and dangers and voluntarily elect their child/children to participate in the Ithaca Pool Swim Lesson Program.

VI. Participants/ Parents/ Guardians release Ithaca Pool Management from any liability now or in the future, including all of the above, but not limited to, any injury incurred during or after participation in the swim program.

ADMITTANCE:

On entry to the Pool, please provide staff with your child’s name for their lessons so that attendance can be entered into our system. Children 12 years and under must be accompanied & supervised by a parent/guardian over the age of 18 years at all times. After the lesson, your child may stay and swim in recreational lanes. However, if the accompanying adult/s or siblings wish to use the facilities, normal entry fees apply.

CLASS CONSOLIDATION AND CHANGE OF INSTRUCTORS:

Miller Swim School – Ithaca Pool Management reserves the right to consolidate classes as necessary for the successful running of the program. We understand that some of our students/parents may become fond of particular instructors. We will always try our best to respond to your requests however we cannot guarantee an Instructor and we reserve the right to make changes if required.

PHOTO RELEASE:

On occasion video footage or photos are taken of the Learn To Swim program to be used for: a) staff training b) in-house newsletters and display boards. We will seek your additional consent if we would like to use these images for out of centre advertising. Please advise via email to [email protected] if you DO NOT give consent for images of yourself/ your children to be used for the purposes explained above.
